Small Business Competition
Let Ricoh help you navigate your Digital Transformation

    1. This Competition is open to small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) based in the Australia in any of the 5 Regions specified in Item 6. A SMB is defined as having 499 employees or fewer.
    2. Entries must be submitted by a senior representative of the SMB being entered in the Competition.
    3. Employees of Ricoh Australia and its group companies (“Promoter”), their agents or anyone else professionally associated with the competition are not eligible to participate.
    4. All information detailing how to enter this Competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that all participants agree to abide by these rules. Submission of a competition entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

    2. Entries must not be longer than 50 words.
    3. Competition entries must be the original work of the participant submitting it and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other competition.

    6. An SMB may have no more than one entry in this Competition. Once submitted, the Promoter cannot accept any changes to any part of an entry.
    7. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupted entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission or posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
    1. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that their entry does not infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party under any jurisdiction.
    2. Copyright in all entries submitted for this Competition remains with the respective participants. However, each participant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to the Promoter, to feature any or all of the submitted entries in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this Competition or other marketing communications. Participants will not receive remuneration for such publication, though their work will be acknowledged.
    1. The decision of the judges will be final, and no further correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter.
    2. The judges will select one winner per region. A total of five winners will share an equal share of the total prize pool.
    3. All entries will be judged on the business needs and creativity of use of Ricoh products, services or solutions. The judging panel will be keen to understand your business needs to help with navigating digital transformation.
    4. The Ricoh Small Business Competition winners for each region will be contacted by a Ricoh Australia representative and announced on Friday 15 December, 2017.

  6. PRIZE
    1. Total Prize Pool: Ricoh products, services or solutions valued at $50,000.
      This prize pool will be shared between the participants in the 5 geographical areas (Regions), each Region will have an equal share of the total prize pool and be awarded a prize of $10,000 of Ricoh Australia product, services or solutions for each region (the ‘Prize’). The Prize is made up of $2,000 Workplace technology assessment and $8,000 worth of Ricoh Australia products, services or solutions. The Regions are as follows:
      • Region 1: NSW
      • Region 2: VIC/ TAS
      • Region 3: SA/ ACT
      • Region 4: QLD/ NT
      • Region 5: WA
    2. There will be one (1) Prize for the winning participant per Region.
    3. The Prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
    4. Total Prize awarded must be availed of in a one single transaction.
    5. If the Prize winner chooses any Ricoh Australia product, services or solutions valued over and above the Prize value, any additional amounts must be paid directly to Ricoh Australia.
    6. If the Prize winner chooses any Ricoh Australia products, services or solutions valued below the Prize value, no further payment will be made to the Prize winner.
    7. The Prize must be claimed and utilised within 6 months of the announcement of the winner/s. If it is not used within this period, then the prize will be deemed void.
    1. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to accept any entry which in its opinion does not comply with these terms and conditions or which contravenes the spirit of the Competition.
    2. The Promoter further reserves the right to cancel the Competition where, in its sole opinion, the calibre or quantity of entries is insufficient.
    3. The Promoter’s decision in all Competition-related matters shall be final.
    4. The winners will be contacted by the Promoter by email or telephone within ten working days of the closing date of the Competition.
    5. The winners will also be displayed on the competition website:, within ten working days of the closing date of the Competition.
    6. The winning SMB and its representative(s) may be required to take part in reasonable publicity on behalf of the Promoter.
    7. Winner must provide a case study of the Ricoh solution after installation to be used in further marketing programs.
    8. Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary, amend or waive the Competition’s rules and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
